If you are looking for cheap lift tickets for Whistler Blackcomb and you are "flexible" in terms of picking up the tickets, "have I got a deal for you" as they say!
How "flexible" do you have to be you ask.
Well, if you can pick up the
Vancouver between 9:30am and 4:30pm on a weekday (between 9:30am and 3:00pm on Fridays),
don't mind driving a little bit out of your way (only 12 minutes extra
driving if you are travelling from Vancouver Airport to Whistler), then
are in luck.
When I came across this little known source for cheap lift tickets
for Whistler recently,
saw just how big the discount was, I knew I had to at least let folks
know about it even though it isn't the most convenient Whistler ticket
option. But what this option lacks in convenience, it makes up for in
You see, at a cost of only $85 per day including tax these Whistler Blackcomb lift tickets are:
Here's an example of what you could save by driving the extra 12 minutes out of your way (according to Google maps):
Let's say that four adults planned to visit Whistler for a week in early March. If they each pre-purchased a 5-day lift ticket, the total cost would be $2,056.32 ($459 plus 12% tax X 4 people = $2,056.32)
Now, if instead of purchasing their lift tickets from the resort,
they took a 12 minute detour on their way to Whistler from Vancouver
Airport, they could save themselves
$356.32 ($85 X 5 tickets X 4 people = $1700 )

as inexpensively as possible, and you don't mind going a little bit out of the way, I highly recommend you take advantage of this offer
The tickets are sold by the Students' Union at Capilano University in
North Vancouver. I called them the other day to clarify some of the
details and here they are:
As I mentioned earlier, the cost of the tickets are $85 including tax. That's $11.26 cheaper than comparable 7-11 Whistler tickets which sell for $96.26 including tax. They do not sell any Senior/Youth or Children's tickets. If you want these type of tickets I recommend trying our Ticket Wizard or going to a 7-11 store.
These cheap lift tickets for Whistler are available to anyone. In other words you do not have to be a student of the university. I was also told that there were no restrictions on the number of tickets that you can purchase at one time either.
Important Tip: It is a good idea to call the Students' Union ahead of
time (see phone # below) to make sure that they have the number of
tickets that you require on hand when you arrive. There is a finite number of tickets available for each season so if you are trying to purchase them later in the season you may be out of luck. Again... call ahead of time to check availability.
The Students' Union does not take credit cards. Payment is by debit or cash.
The tickets are sold out of the front office of the Students' Union. The office hours are as follows:
|Monday - Thursday:||9:30am - 4:30pm
||9:30am - 3:00pm

A final word of advice. Even if you are in fact flexible enough to take advantage of this source of cheap lift tickets for Whistler, I still recommend that you take a quick ride on our Whistler Blackcomb Lift Ticket Wizard. This will ensure that there is not an even better option available to you that will offer an even greater discount (and a little more convenience to boot).
